A constellation of 25 nanosatellites

Kinéis has deployed a constellation of 25 nanosatellites. These new-generation satellites are equipped with payloads dedicated to the Internet of Things (IoT) and the AIS mission.

Thanks to their low-earth orbit at 650 km altitude, these satellites ensure regular passes over all areas of the globe, guaranteeing total coverage, even in the most isolated regions with no terrestrial coverage.

This constellation provides coverage over all oceans, maximizing the detection of ships equipped with AIS transmitters. It represents a major technological breakthrough in Europe, where Kinéis has partnered with the best French experts to tackle the challenge of miniaturizing satellite technologies.
